Simple Peanut Butter Bliss Bites
As seen in my article on @YorkRegion: RENATA’S TABLE: Peanut butter bites are healthy, satisfying
My Simple Peanut Butter Bliss Bites recipe couldn’t be easier to make and is a great kitchen activity to do with kids or cooking/baking newbies! These take 5 minutes to mix together and are a welcome, healthy and satisfying treat to have at the ready. I have different kinds of Bliss Bites in my fridge all the time! So handy! So delicious!
Bliss Bites are versatile as you can use another nut butter of your choice (half almond butter and half tahini is fabulous!). Or, make them school-safe by using sunflower seed butter and substituting the almond flour for oat flour (and adding an extra tablespoon of honey for sweetness). Delicious and nutritious, there is goodness in each bite!
All-natural peanut butter is a good source of plant-based protein, contains essential vitamins E, B3 and B6 and minerals manganese, magnesium and copper, zinc and potassium, supporting healthy immune, digestion and kidney function. The fat in peanut butter is oleic acid which supports healthy cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure levels, and supports brain health for nerve repair, myelin production and inflammation reduction.
Honey is an antioxidant, anti-fungal and antibacterial, supports digestion and gut health, wound healing with its natural anti-microbial components and supports brain health. With its natural preservative properties and low moisture, honey never goes bad and jars of honey have been found crystallized, and consumable, in 3000-year-old ancient Egyptian tombs!
Experiment with other nut butters and other flavoured chips or finely chopped nuts instead! Rolling the Bliss Bite in coconut or cocoa is delicious too and ups the nutrition!
As always, when you make this recipe, I would love to see your creation so please post a photo of your Simple Peanut Butter Bliss Bites goodness and tag my IG account #RenataCollective or leave a comment with your thoughts!
