Simple Green Morning Smoothie

When I get busy (I ask myself, why is life SO busy…) what I need are fast to make, nutritious, healthy foods to fuel my energy and nourish my body.  Cue my Simple Green Morning Smoothie!  Although I do love a sit-down breakfast with my hubby to lay out our plans for the day, some mornings don't allow for that luxury so a quick smoothie is perfect.

Spinach has vitamins A, C and K, folate and iron.

Chia seeds are packed with antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids and fibre.

Hemp Hearts  are rich in essential fatty acids, are a high-quality plant-based protein source. containing a vitamin B complex, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron and zinc.

Flax Meal is another antioxidant and is high in fibre.

Cinnamon is a powerful antioxidant, an anti-inflammatory, an antibacterial and an anti-fungal. It can reduce bad cholesterol (LCL) and triglycerides, balances blood sugar and both cinnamon and ginger support brain health and reduces cognitive decline.

These ingredients are a powerful nutrient-dense combination that supports so many body functions with complex carbs, protein and fibre to provide energy throughout the morning!

As always, when you make this recipe, I would love to see your creation so please post a photo of your Simple Green Morning Smoothie goodness and tag my IG account #RenataCollective or leave a comment with your thoughts!
