CuGinas Flavours /A Product Review: Conclusion: Delicious and Fabulous!

After establishing a virtual relationship during Covid, I had the great pleasure to finally meet in person, a fellow graduate from the Academy of Culinary Nutrition and now a colleague, Chef Gina Cianfarani. Gina is a talented personal chef, cookbook author, cooking instructor and product developer. We met at the T.O Food and Drink Show in April where Gina was showcasing her CuGinas Flavors products.  Several taste tests later, I was hooked and bought one of everything she had at the show! The products are fresh, delicious and unique. Gina only uses the finest of organic ingredients, there are no artificial flavours or colours, and the ingredients are kept simple to let the delicious main flavours be the focus of her tasty products.

Panettone – this fluffy loaf of bread is divine! It has a delicate flavour, the consistency and taste are almost cake-like, and a thick slice topped with CuGina Mango or Carrot Cake Jam is heavenly paired with a cup of coffee.

Sous Chef Nancy Castro, who works with Gina, created the jams. Both jams are so unique in flavour and are so delicious. With no added sugars, the mango flavour shines through with a hint of pineapple and ginger.  The carrot cake jam has some sugar but it is balanced with pear, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Both jams are delicious as a condiment with meat as well – roasted pork tenderloin especially or served with cheese or on a charcuterie board for a wonderful treat.

CuGinas’ Vodka-cello Herb Infused EVOO Spray is easy to use and adds a wonderful flavour to meats, pasta dishes and salads making each unique and so delicious. 

The Everyday Herbs mixture combines rosemary, parsley, oregano, sage, thyme, garlic, onion with a hint of nutmeg to be the perfect all-in-one seasoning mixture when marinating, bar-b-qu’ing, pan frying or baking savory dishes.

I look forward to always having these products in my kitchen and to trying all the CuGinas products – I know Gina has a few new exciting ones in development now!
